If a product requires to be registered before it can be used it will clearly say so on the store page and in the readme also available via the store page. Your name, address, phone number and email address are encoded as encrypted binary data and will act as the product's unlock key. Once registered and unlocked you will be able to read this information by clicking the product's "Version" button. Your details will not be divulged to any third parties.

I feel this method is effective without being intrusive since I usually already have your details as part of the sales process. It does not for example lock the product to the serial number of your hard drive which can be annoying should you wish to transfer the application to another machine six months down the road.

Please contact me by email if the product is to be used in a school or other location where it would be inappropriate to use a personal name and address.

I aim to reply with your unlock files as quickly as possible. During working hours, (and I work long hours), this is usually within a few minutes. It is rare that it takes as long as 24 hours, but should it be any longer than that could you please contact me again. It is possible that your registration may not have been sent correctly.
