You'll see a 'bad magic number' error, and possibly 'Error number 13 - permission denied', until you set the permissions on your Wardrobe Wizard installation.
Go to C:\Program Files, right click the 'Wardrobe Wizard 2.0' folder, choose 'Properties', 'Security', click 'Edit', choose 'Users', then click on 'Full Control.' The error will go away, and everything will work normally.
Also do the same thing on the plugin folder, but it will be in a different path, something similar to C:\Program Files\e frontier\Poser 7\Runtime\Python\poserScripts\PhilC\Wardrobe Wizard 2.0 _________________ --Kamilche |

What worked for me, when installing the plug-in version was to just run Poser as an administrator. You do this by right cliking the Poser icon and selecting "Run as administrator" from the menu. Vista will ask to confirm and then Bob's your uncle.
The stand-alone version seems to pick up the serial with no problem.
In Vista x64 you have to be careful to hose everything to Program Files (x86) as the Program Files directory is only for 64-bit stuff. _________________ Dave Oldridge

Will stuff braek if it goes in the wrong directory? I don't have 64 bit myself, so I'm curious. _________________ --Kamilche |

It doesn't seem to, but Poser and other major apps all default to the x86 directory. WW2 crested a whole Poser hierarchy in the wrong plae by default! Had to move it. _________________ Dave Oldridge

Having Vista 64 bit, I would strongly recommend that you do not use default directories for anything unless it is made to install in Vista 64.
What works for me (every time) is installing to a dummy directory (I send everything to a "Downloads" folder), then manually move the file, or file tree, to where it needs to go.
Also, Vista can be very strange, and even completely hide certain files, such as files in "WW CharacterName" folders. You can see the files in the programme browser (Poser/Carrara/Studio), but the folder appears empty in Vista's Windows Explorer. You have to delve into some moderately advanced file settings In Vista to make the files appear in Explorer.

I've not had any problem finding files, but know my way around Explorer.
Drivers are a whole 'nother issue, though! _________________ Dave Oldridge

| I have Vista 32 bit and the way I got around it was to manually change permissions of the runtime folder, uncheck 'read only' and let it do its thing to all the subfolders. |

You might also want to take a look at this.
I could not even open WW2 Standalone until I made the changes listed in this post.
