I am pretty new to poser and a beginner when it comes to 3d modelling. Unlike most, though -I'm not really interested in making "photo realistic" 3d renderings. It's not that I don't like them, but it just isn't my area of interest.

I purchased the Nearme figures a while ago. I'm really heartbroken that development of these figures seems to have reached a standstill. One thing about the figures that I didn't like, was the size of the head and shape. But I did like the eye controls --they're really expressive. The only figure that I found that was close to what I wanted was the Deco Ver 3 figure.

I like the Deco model because it's facial expressions were very easy to use and it really looked more like an anime style of figure than most others. The only problem was I didn't really like the body style.

Thus the idea for this project got started.

I took a little bit of each and this is how it came out. I haven't even started rigging yet, and I have to do some adjusting of the geometry before that happens, but the first draft looks pretty good smoothed out. I just applied a mat texture so you could see what it looks like.

Once I have the geometries redone, I'll have a lot of rigging work to do, but I'm excited about seeing it in operation. I plan on spending some time going over the weight mapping in Poser pro, and adding it to this model, but you can see the look that I'm aiming for.

Once I'm finished with this one, I have in mind to go back and attempt to make a proper boy version. I always hated the fact that they did it as a morph, which doesn't really look all that great to be honest.
