Hello to all. While removing "faces" from a piece of clothing I inadvertantly removed some "faces" from a different area. It was basically beyond the "undo" function so after all that work I have holes in the cloth. I have tried using the "add polygon" tool but I'm having no luck figuring that one out. Can anyone please tell me how they would go about creating those missing "faces" so the cloth will be "whole" (pardon the pun ) again? Sure would appreciate. Thanx, gk

Did you try selecting the vertices and adding the missing edges back in? This should replace your faces.

If the whole is surrounded by polygons the Add Face tool should fill in the gap. With the tool selected you should see the edges of the whole highlighted when you bring the tool over it. Click to fill in. If it does not highlight you do not have a whole.

Thank You both for your replies. Well, I sure hope we're working in the same program. Working in the workpace view when, I select the add polygon tool the only thing it does is highlite the vertices on each corner as I move over them. Thinking that I should maybe clk at each corner to enclose it will only get me to three corners and if I try to clk on the final it will highlite any one near it but not that one. If I clk on anything it will connect into something that I'll quickly undo. The hole is a hole. I tried painting it but can only paint around it. If it was a polygon I'd think that I'd be able to paint it. First of all what view should I be working in? Why is it if I'm in the Model view I can add edges to my "hole" but when I change to the workspace view those new edges don't show up? This is getting a little nutso. gk

Are you using the Add Face tool or the Polygon Draw tool? Sounds like the latter, if so try the former.

Versions vary but in 6.6 the Polygon draw icon looks like a pencil drawing a yellow line whereas the Add Face tool has a green "+"

Dang. Ya did it again. Wow. Yep, was using the " polygon draw tool". Used the "find tool helper" and found the tool you suggested, used it and Voila, holes gone. Truely a good start of a day. Thank You, again. gk
