| I recently made a robe for M4; I ran it through WW2 not to convert it, but merely to make it conforming and add morphs. WW2 tends to make the edges of the mesh quite crooked, so I thought I'd straighten them a bit afterward. I found the right OBJ in the Geometries folder and loaded it into Hexagon (and another modeler as well), and found four faces in one area missing. They aren't missing when the figure is loaded in Poser though. What's that all about? Can I touch up the mesh after the fact? Also, does WW2 really need to alter the mesh if it's not actually converting to another figure -- I went M4 to M4? Is there any way to tell WW2 to leave the mesh alone and simply make it conforming and add morphs? |

Does your original mesh have all the required body part groups already in it? _________________

| No, I am letting WW2 do that as well. If the groups were already in existence, would it leave the mesh alone? |

Wardrobe Wizard can do some grouping manipulations but I would not rely on it to make a "virgin" OBJ file into a figure. For that I would recommend using OBJ2CR2. _________________

I do have OJB2CR2, but this seems easier to me (I don't have to make a M4 template, etc). I think I will export the body parts out and make a morph to straighten out the edges. I just thought it would be easier to go to the OBJ.
I don't understand what messes up these OBJs WW2 generates in the Geometries folder and how they are alright when used in the figure in Poser. I looked at some other OBJs generated by WW2 in the Geometries folder from very normal conversions and they also had faces missing and other anomolies that don't show up in Poser. I guess it doesn't matter, as long as I make my adjustments as morphs from pieces spawned in and exported from Poser.

My suspicions would lie in the original OBJ file. I'll be happy to take a look at it if required.
The M4 template has been available pretty much since M4 was first published. Look on the OBJ2CR2 update page. There is no need to make your own.
