Here is my first try... 15 minutes work. I would love to see what other people come up with. I had to use a V4 that had its mags stripped by hand because the standard figure was causing crashes. I found the smoothing feature of the Morph Brush really usefull. I remember how Morph Brush used to always crash with V4 before it was fixed.
The hair is Poser 4 style, a single layer hair rather than layered. On the right it is post-worked. I post work all my stuff in any case since I come to Poser as a painter. I need to fix that horrible yellow color I gave it!
I am hopping to make some nice every day styles with Hair Designer. Very nice tool Phil. Thank you.

| Nice! Is the headband an import or something you made with HD? |

The headband comes with Hair Designer. Actually started with that and built from there. I changed the MAT on it to a glossy from a WhopperNnoonWalker-... MAT package "500 Materials vol 3"

The hair texture is a very poorly edited texture from the Light Hair Resource by plus3d...

I should have used straight flat and layered but this was really a ten or fifteen minute test just to check the HD scripts. Like I said, even after using the scripts to clean up V4 it still crashed immediately after saving... I had to use a version of V4 I made by rigging the d/s V4 17K LOD figure with a minimalist V4 .cr2 that had the magnets stripped.
Trying to do the bangs with straight segments lead to some difficulty getting the strands to pivet along the universe x-axis... the axis dials wanted to spin the piece on the z-axis when using the z-rot dial or the x-rot dial... even parenting didn't help. Got to figure it out... |

Hiya,
In the same theme, using the headband, I did this short straight hair, pretty simple and I'm happy with it. Here's the picture:
Thanks Phil, Works great!

Hello,
I'm currently building up pieces for a Hair kit. Here are the pieces that I've completed. The texturing part is still TBD, so ignore that.

My hair-textures are made by myself. _________________ Greetings

Here's my first attempt at creating a hair style with the Hair Designer. I know I have a lot more to learn and need a lot more practice but it's coming along
I am trying to work up a series of characters for an art project I'm working on. With this one I'm working toward a 1950ish girl with very short bangs. -- Yeah, the way my mom used to cut them!

Nice hairstyles, everyone! Here are the best ones I have done so far:
Fairly short hair with bangs (variants of this style seem to be popular Poser hair, I wonder why?)
And a basic ponytail
